A version of this scroll could not be found to use as a model to explain what this scroll depicted. The scroll was translated by Dr. Kenley of Elizabethtown College. From his translations and Dr. Long’s knowledge of Eastern traditions, the conclusion was made that this scroll is an astrological chart depicting the different seasons of the year and when to plant depending on the fortune of the time. This scroll combined features of Daoism, Confucianism, Buddhism and Chinese Astrology.
